Over the years, Edelweiss had developed a heterogeneous IT landscape – with systems, storage locations and tools that all served their purpose but were barely connected. Instead of modernising piece by piece, Edelweiss chose to rethink collaboration. The goal was to build a modern work environment that makes collaboration among the 1,000 employees effortless.
Together with Garaio, Edelweiss implemented a digital workplace based on Microsoft 365. In this process, all data – a total of around 1.5 terabytes – was restructured and migrated to the cloud. The existing news portal was replaced by «Cosmos», a modern communication platform that now serves as the digital entry point to all systems.
Last but not least, Microsoft Teams was introduced to strengthen collaboration throughout the company. The transformation was accompanied by tailored training courses and the establishment of an active user community.
Today, all employees – whether in the office, at the gate or above the clouds – have access to the same information and can collaborate efficiently.
Through this, Edelweiss didn’t just digitalise – it strengthened its organisation with a work environment that provides clarity, connects people and grows with the business.
